LPL’s chapter of Roots & Shoots, a global youth program founded by Dr. Jane Goodall that empowers young people to make a difference for animals, people, and the environment, will be collecting donations for personal care kits on Saturday, November 21st, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in our main lobby.
We will be collecting:
- Towelettes
- Soap
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Hand sanitizer
- Combs/Brushes
- Razors
- Hand warmers
- Socks
- Quart or gallon size bags to package items
These personal care kits will continue to provide necessary items for those in need at the Lewes Public Library, as well as other public spaces throughout Lewes.
If you are unable to drop off items for our personal care kits, please consider donating to Roots & Shoots so that we can continue helping our community!
To donate, visit Lewes Public Library’s donation page, follow the “Donate” button below and under the drop down menu for “I would like to use this donation for”, select the option “Roots & Shoots Teen Program”. We appreciate all help towards caring for our community.
