By Public Transportation

The Delaware Authority for Regional Transit (DART) runs public transportation in our area. The Route 204 bus (Yellow line) is the only public transportation into and out of Lewes. It has a year-round schedule and a modified summer schedule (part of the Beach Bus program). The summer schedule operates from May 20 – September 8, 2019.

The closest bus stop to the Lewes Public Library is on Savannah Road at Beebe Avenue (at Beebe Medical Center). After getting off at that stop, walk down Beebe Avenue to Kings Highway. Take a right on Kings Highway and walk two blocks to Adams Avenue. Cross Kings Highway and walk two blocks to the Lewes Public Library. We are the large building on the right after you cross the bike path.

DART offers a Paratransit program for individuals with disabilities. For more information about this program, including fare information, service hours, and requesting a ride, please visit the DART website.
